Confirmation (2012)
In the United Methodist Church, “confirmation” is the process by which we help our teens claim for themselves the vows that were made for them at the time of their baptism. Also, we seek to prepare students who have not been baptized to decide if they are ready to take that important step. Confirmation is an important part of the faith journey. It is a time for teens to look at their own faith and learn more about what it means to live as a member of the church of Jesus Christ. At the completion of confirmation, the confirmand alone will decide whether or not to become a full member of the church.
We will be offering confirmation classes on selected Sunday afternoons from 3:00-5:00 beginning on Sunday, February 12, 2012. Class dates are:
Confirmation will take place during each worship service on Sunday, May 13. You may choose which service to attend.
